Born in Hertfordshire in 1939, David lived and worked for some years in the Middle East where he enjoyed considerable success with his paintings.

After returning to the UK he settled in North Yorkshire, painting landscapes and finding material for racing subjects at Wetherby and York.  Later, he broadened his view, firstly painting subjects in Wales and the South West of England and in more recent times enjoying considerable success with his views of European towns and cities.

He has been involved in numerous exhibitions in London and elsewhere.
