Yanko Tihov was born and educated in Bulgaria at the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, 1997 – 2001.
He now lives in London and has been exhibiting successfully with private and public galleries.
He is a skilled draughtsman and his work is broadly based on the themes of figures and portraits. His subjects explore the human form and condition. He has painted a number of portrait commissions but his paintings often reflect his personal observations and social commentary.
