Derek G M Gardner, RSMA Originally an American Schooner “Fly”, the Sea Lark was captured from the Americans and went to sea under the British ensign as a schooner armed with tem 12 pdr. carronades and a crew of 60. She carried a very heavy rig for so small a vessel which was later in 1817 reduced. The drawing has been made from a copy of the plans of the schooner when she was the American stockade-runner "Fly" |
